Profiles Screwed, documents being saved under a different user.

First time post so treat me gently

Ive spent a lot of time creating a build for our company, I have deployed the image to just over 400 PC's so am reluctant to start over.

Hopefully all you guys & gals out there can help.

Here's the problem.

We have just discovered that when user 'B,C,D,E' etc logs in & opens or creates a document, that documents Author is user 'A'.

Ive stripped all references to User 'A' from registry & deleted user 'A's profile but still user's docs always say authored or edited by user 'A'.

Little background, when I created the image I asked different specialist within the company to logon & install specific software for their dept. User 'A' was one of them!!

Any insights into where I can look would be appreciated.

Are you talking about certain types of files/software or is it any file created/edited that is affected

It appears to be only affecting MS Office docs.

Duplicate files in User\Documents &User\My Documents-which to remove?
I am trying to clear out duplicate files in Windows 7. A scan by Duplicate Cleaner Free 3.2.1 shows copies in multiple locations, including User\Documents and User\My Documents. Since these are both showing up in this scan I presume they are actually two files, not one real file and one link - is...

created a new user but docs still saved in old user
Folks, I need your help again. Perhaps it's a trivial problem but I'd like to get it sorted. I have a new laptop, I created a user on installation, let's say Test1 (as W7 runs through the installation wizard etc). I then decided that I was unhappy with that user name, so I then created a new...

Hi all, As noted in a recent post, I am having issue with formatting my c:\ partition. If I have to, I may just do the install without a format. What gets saved into the windows.old folder? Will it include all my documents, pictures, music, etc? I hope not. If it matters, vista is...
