Copying a Music DVD

Can anyone please suggest a good programme for copying and burning a Music DVD?? I have Windows Media Player and ITunes but cannot seem to get anywhere with either. Is there some software I can download that will do the job please?

Is it a DVD or CD? Most music disc are CD's.

I use Nero and it has copy features, for any disc CD/DVD and audio or video.

Burning CD's

Sorry about that, yes, it is a CD. Can you give me a link to Nero, one that won't pollute my machine with hoards of adverts and offers please? I tried to download Nero from a site and ended up spending an hour deleting all the rubbish that came with it. I am pretty sure I went into the wrong one

Thanks for replying and offering help, much appreciated. Do have a very happy and peaceful Christmas. No too much soda water, it's bad for your teeth, whisky is much better

Nero is not a free program.

Try the free (and popular) CDBurnerXP (It says XP but its for Win 7/Win 8.1 too.

https://cdburnerxp.se/

I have it on my PC, for reference, and don't remember what if any garbage was attached. Just look at each screen as you install to see if there is something there and checked (such as a browser toolbar, make some other browser default, etc) and uncheck that.

Here is a screenshot of the program

I hope Fireberd doesn't mind my butting in but you should be able to do it all through Media Player. At the top left of Media Player click Organize > Options then click on the Rip Music tab, there you can select all of your settings for ripping your CD,

Then click on the Burn tab at the top right to burn your discs.

I've always used Nero myself but this should work fine. I think you can get a basic copy of Nero for free, they used to bundle them in with CD drives, you just had to upgrade to unlock all of the extra features. That will give you the functionality to copy CD to CD directly.

I'm not sure what you are doing in the Windows Media Player. If you are copying a CD (disk copy) with CDBurnerXP, that has nothing to do with the Media Player.

If you only have one CD/DVD drive then you may have to "rip" the audio CD to the hard drive and then burn a new Audio CD from what was ripped to the hard drive. But that is not "copying" a disc.

You also need a blank (unformatted) CD-R for burning the new copy. Do not use CD-RW media.

Perhaps more on exactly what you want to do and are doing will help us to try and help you.

I do a lot of audio CD burning, as I have a recording studio.

Boozad, not a problem, mate.

I want to copy a CD that has "Old English folk Carols" I really don't understand how this all works. I have done something in Media Player and am now being told "Updating Media Library", what ever that means. Trouble is, I don't know where the media library is and what I have to do if an when I find it, I presume I have to put them in a folder perhaps on my desk top and then burn the new disc from there?

Would it be better if I were to download something a little more simpler do you think??

Cheers,

Ron

I am assuming the 19 tracks on the original disc are being uploaded to the "Library". Will I be able to click on the "Burn" tab on the top right of the screen and pick up the tracks from there? I am sorry to be such a dim wit but I am not a computer buff, I just try to learn as much as I can.

Cheers,

Ron
