Win7, SSD upgrade software& bleachbit, now "no interface",no controlpanel, no explorer.exe.

In the system recovery, no restore point found, no repair helping, the command prompt, lists the default

    X:/

I tried reassigning X: -> C:/ with diskpart but no help.

I looked at a thread recommending to reassign the .dll s ; but that didn't pan out yet.

this is on a HP Pavilion G Series laptop, in the Bios, has very limited option, eg there is no option to disable a floppy drive, nor to do anything to the Samsung Evo SSD drive that is in it now.

it has 2 partitions, that are still there the OS is on the 1st smaller drive.

spent many hours already on this, can anyone guide me through, what to try next , I don't have an original installation disk , just the recovery disk I created.

    thx in advance

    "no such interface support"

samsung magician and bleachbit 1.6 scan were what was happening right before the system b0rk'd to the above complaint, when anything is attempted while in the main win7 window now

Do you see the desktop items? mouse is movable? Start button works and you see the start menu and applications?
Can you run "command prompt"? Can you run anything?

Try method 1 and if not solving,.... try method 2. Don't try CCLEANER. Reboot after doing that

    Please post exact error message.
.....most of the time, I get no error message, as nothing is functional, but when I right click and choose "personlization" for the desktop , I get the message I added to the bottom of my original post re: "interface"

Do you see the desktop items?
.....strangely what I see, are white blank icons on the desktop, with the filename, with 2-3 not blank and white but file shaped, one says "firefox stored items" the other "open office installer files" or so. , but clicking them does nothing.

    mouse is movable?
    .......yes it is.
Start button works and you see the start menu and applications?
.....yes it does , all the programs are there, but the icons are white, and clicking them does nothing , the control panel , etc is "empty"

    Can you run "command prompt"?
    ......no
    Can you run anything?[/QUOTE]
    .......no

attempting to entere cmd.exe in the find box produces same thing "C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe no such interface supported "

**see above inside quote box for answers**

Since I can't run anything, I can't use the method in the youtube. I attempted to do so, while in a command prompt in the recovery disk, however. It has me in X:\ and I would not know ; don't know if I can find actxprxy.dll

nor run any cccleaner of Malwarebytes, though both are installed

    X:\windows\system32

    there is no C: drive

and the file actprxy.dll is not in X:\windows\system32

    so what now?

I noticed if I use diskpart I can see volume 1 C the OS partition which I made active
and volume 2 D the main HD partition,

I exit then I have a C and D: volume I can navigate to, but the OS seems to be on D: drive not C: as it says in diskpart

as I want to try to re: register the actprxy.dll , should I try it on the D: drive dispite the mismatch in drive lettering ?

addendum: i went ahead on the D: drive in the recovery disk and did regsvr32 d:\windows\system32\actxprxy.dll

rebooted, and no change in the problem, fyi
