Win 7, 64 Pro looks like its OK but has problems. No audio or printer

Gentlemen,

System was running, suddenly bsod, followed by chkdsk being run. System started and appeared OK for about 5 minutes and bsod hit again followed by another chkdsk command. I shut the system down and checked the interior of the box to make sure everything was clean and connected properly, no problems there. I had a total of 12Gb in ram, one stick @4Gb and a second stick @8Gb. Idont know why but I pulled the 8Gb sticks and rebooted. System started normally and seems to run normally however, now I do not have any audio or printer installed. Device manager reports drivers for the audio are OK, no print drivers found. I tried reloading the printer software but the system wont allow completion. I ran SFC/scannow and windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them???

Help please, I don't know where to go from here.

Sounds to me like something may have possibly corrupted the install of the audio and printer drivers even if device manager shows they are ok. i would try a system restore back to before any of these issues started happening and see if that resolves the issue(s) for ya. Click start, programs, accessories, system restore. Then choose a date before these issues started happening. Hopefully it will successfully restore to that restore point and all will be good. If it successfully restores; then I would uninstall both the audio devices and the printer from the device manager; reboot; and hopefully windows will re-detect and reinstall them and then hopefully the issues will be resolved. If not post back.

EDIT: please also post the dump file from the BSOD. Look for instructions on how to do this in the BSOO section which is really where this should be posted.

Appreciate the reply,

Tried doing a restore but I got a message that my restore function was corrupted. I also booted off the OS install CD and tried to do some repair. Could not do a restore. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, I'm new to the site. I'll try to get a BSOD dump if possible. What's strange is everything else seems to run normally.

In the Troubleshooting Steps under picture below it shows how to disinfect if necessary from boot disk since System files may Not repair if infected. If not once its clean you can run a Repair Install, or use the same provided media to do a perfect reinstall.
