I did both the Safe Boot and the Startup restarts, issue seems to be resolved for the moment, but will reply in about 30 minutes to see if anything has changed.

Yeah, problem has definitely resolved itself. Where should I go from here?
Shouldn't I try to find the program that was causing the virus and remove it? Or is that asking for too much?
Turn off all those updater services too
All those services you see running are killing the cpu
Yes do remove McAfee totally. Then install MSE for now.
