query about win Explorer window

Just wondering if anyone might have an explanation for this:

I set the Windows Explorer window sized to show the contents of a folder in list view and 25 items shown in a column. Yet for some folders, I have noticed that more then 25 items have been displayed in a column yet the size of the window has not changed.

for instance I have a folder that contains 130 items and it displays 5 even columns with 26 items in each column when it should be displaying a total of 6 columns, with the last column having 5 items in it. Without changing the size of the window, I view another folder that has 107 items, it displays 5 columns, 4 having 25 items, and the last column having 7 items.

Can you post screen captures of both conditions so we can see what you are talking about?

What I see, the size of the program's window is not dynamic, does not automatically change based on the contents. The size of a panel within that window does not change but scroll bars should appear when there's too much data to display in that panel.

Really not sure exactly what you're talking about but what happens if you set your View to "Details"?
