Task Scheduler stop programs when on battery power

I have a few programs on my computer that don't need to be running when I'm on battery power: Steam, DsiplayFusion, and a couple others. I could close them every time I don't need them, and then restart them once I'm plugged in, but I thought I might be able to use task scheduler to do that for me. How would I set this up?

Did you find a solution to this?

You might find it easier to do a Clean start and let the pgms load what's needed when they are started.

    Launch System Configuration (msconfig)

    Services tab:
    Hide all Microsoft services
    Press the [Disable all] button

    Startup tab:
    Press the [Disable all] button
Enable your Antivirus real time application if it is present in the list (not all are)
Enable your Touchpad is you have any customized keys or functions

    press [Ok]
    Restart your system.

I don't want a clean start. I want those programs to boot with the computer and run most of the time when the computer is plugged in. I just want the computer to automatically deactivate them when I'm on battery power.
