It copies the image on your C drive ( or any drive you choose.).

If you have an hdd failure, you simply go to the saved image and click Restore.

All your programs, OS, docs and updates are restored in minutes.

You save the Macrium image to a different HDD ( I always create 2 backup images on different hdds, in case of failure of one of them.

Please let`s keep this thread to downloading your windows 7 iso, start another thread about making an image with Macrium, we have tutorials for that.

But as far as Macrium, first you download the software then you install it on windows. Then you use the software to create a disk image of your windows partition and the system reserved partition if you have one.

Imaging with free Macrium

Still waiting on your answer about these pre loaded hard drives.......

Good luck -you'll find that having this program will save you from having to reinstall everything if you should have an hdd failure.

Don't forget to create a Restore CD - instructions on main page.

You "put" (install) Macrium to your hard drive.

You could put the later created Macrium image files on a series of DVDs, but you'd be foolish to do so. Use a hard drive OTHER than the drive containing your C partition.
