    UK PC parts source

This is probably a bit off topic, but I have a son living in the UK and his laptop is about ready to bite the dust. He would like to attempt a desktop build of his own. I have no clue where to look for parts. Is there a B&H, Newegg or Tiger Direct equivalent in the UK?

    Thanks, Rich

There are more like this, just Google "Build your own Laptop."

    Build your own laptop

If he wants to have a Custom Build from a good UK company:

    www.pcspecialist.co.uk/

They offer a complete design and build, to the specifications and components chosen by the customer.

As suggested by badcrc, Scan and Ebuyer are both great sites for PC parts.

I would also add overclockers Overclockers UK - Computer components, hardware & gaming PC and Aria Aria PC - Computer Hardware, Components, Monitors.. at lowest prices

Those are the 4 main sites I use. I have used them for years and chop and change between them to find the best price on what I am looking for.
They have all served me well for returns too.

Thank you all so much. I should have thought about him Google-ing from his laptop as it would have directed him to UK sites in the first place. But I will pass along all of your suggestions. They are much appreciated!
