    Black screen startup and lag

    Hi,

Basically when I start up my computer the screen goes black for about five minutes, but the cursor is still visible. Then eventually when it finishes doing that I am already logged in, even though I need to put in a password first, but it completely skips that apparently.
After I'm logged in the taskbar freezes and programs take a long time to open, and sometimes the whole computer freezes.
I've only had the computer since October and the only issue that came with it was that the back fans don't work.
It does overheat easily but the room it is in is nearly always cold and if it does get too warm I turn the computer off and open the window to wait for the room to cool down.

    some specs
    CPU: AMD FX(tm)-4350 Quad-Core Processor
motherboard (manufacturer): Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
Graphics card: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series
Hard disk: TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 ATA Device
    Memory: 8.00GB
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I don't have any protection aside from Malwarebytes, but the only things I've really downloaded are things I trust and have researched into, and games from steam.

Those fans are very inexpensive and easy to replace. Id' do that immediately

Then work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.

I would not skip any steps as the skipped step is often the solution.
