Any Registry Cleaner besides CCleaner is not to be trusted. Most are scamware which will ruin your Win7 install. I would try to System Restore to before your System was ruined by Speedy PC Pro scamware. It's possible this was already remedied by the System Restore you just ran. But I would go all the way back before you installed the scamware.

If not then do a Clean Reinstall Windows 7 following the steps, tools and methods that work best to get and keep a perfect install.

I've also never seen Kaspersky recommended by anyone here at the home of Win7. Most recommended AV's here for best performance are MSE, or for more aggressive approach use Panda Cloud free AV.

Both of those programs have a license fee and their owners would certainly be out of business if they were selling junk. I would like to see evidence from those who claim scam and this evidence must be presented on an even playing field without any bias. Besides, it was a windows or HP message that caused my problem stating that my monitor resolution was too low and to adjust it to the highest level possible. That does not speak well for Microsoft or HP because they have known about it since 2007 0r 2009 and what have they done about it?

You are at the top tech forums on the web where we've never seen a single report of any Registry cleaner besides CCleaner (the most respected app in the industry) being helpful and where we regularly see them ruin Win7. In fact when the words Registry Cleaner appear in any post we almost immediately know the cause of the problems.

The highest resolution will always be advised to get best picture clarity, but that doesn't mean you need to choose it if you don't like the way it renders, and this has nothing to do with using a Registry cleaner.

< this has nothing to do with using a Registry cleaner.>
I did not say it did. I use KAS and Speedy Pc Pro for years and have no problems with their software. If Ccleaner is a better product, then I will check the web for more reviews.
