i did try to delete the minecraft shortcut off the admin desktop and it did delete from his....

i would like seperate desktops that dont mirror eachother.. is this possible ?

id actually like seperate computers (so to speak)
if i install skype on my admin account, i would like it to not even be installed when he signs onto his account.

There are actually two desktops that combine to make each users desktop. One is unique to the user and the other is for all users. Many programs install the shortcuts to the all user desktop and that is why you see it in yours.

Go to his account under c:\Users\<his user name>\Desktop and put the shortcut to the game there.

To add to this, in the future, when installing a program, it will ask you if you want to install for the current user or for all users, simply select current user. So if you are installing Skype, install only for current user.

Guys, if OP is using the built-in admin acct, would he be better off creating his own admin-level acct?

Sure, but I doubt he is using the built-in account, it is disabled by default. It would be best to create his own standard user account and simply grant himself admin permissions when needed with the admin user name and password.
