    Memory discrepency between resource moniter and bios value


    I recently upgraded from 1G/2 to 2G/2 (from 2 to 4 gig) my bios reads 4G but Resource Monitor and Task Manager are showing 8G ... suggestions? (Installed in 1&3 per MB specs. Win 7 Pro 64 Biostar 880GB+AMD ll 250)

    Take the memory out, switch the slots, re seat the sticks.

    Check the results.

    Does it say 4 GB in Computer Properties ?

Hi I just bought a new pc and asked for Corsair 16GB pc3 1200 1600MHz 4x4 GB DDR3 to be installed but when I checked the bios it lists Memory frequency 1337.68MHz Total Memory size 16384 MB should the frequency not be 1600MHz ?
