New computer, Cannot change windows password

I gave a user a computer that another person had been using because hers died. I added her profile and reset her password etc and gave it to her. She soon noticed that she couldn't change her password, getting an error that it doesn't meet the history, length or complexity requirements of the domain. I tested this, and even when matching these requirements and using new passwords, it wasn't taking. I also noticed at the change password screen, there was an option for "other credentials" which I hid using this article:

I also deleted other unused profiles on the machine, removed and rejoined the computer to the domain.
Windows 7 professional / server 2008 environment. Has anyone ran into this or have any advice?

I figured it out, it was group policy setting a minumum age for new passwords. Fortunately it was only a couple of days so I've seen the problem resolved already.
