    Help, LNK Files.


    help i got a file froma friend which was a nk file it asked what i wanted to use to open it i choose 7zip thinking it was a zip file now all programs on my computer will not open. It says error command file not found. how do i change it back to how it was help please

    Hello Bronson, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    Yep, it sounds like you mistakenly set .lnk files to open with it instead. If you like, you could download and merge the .reg file for the listed lnk option in the tutorial below to restore it's default association.

    Default File Type Associations - Restore

    EDIT: i cannot get it to work, when i right click it will not come up merge

    In that case do what's in the yellow tip box under step 3. It should merge afterwards. :)

    i have done that and didnt work either any other options??

    i thi k the problem could be when i downloaded the linked thing it was a .zip and not .reg

    EDIT: i was really dumb got it too work, thanks heaps brink
