PC stuck in reboot loop, after changing BIOS boot priority

Ok so I was being nosy in my BIOS, which I now regret , just having a look around investigating into a slow boot problem I have.

I have windows 7 installed on my Samsung 830 256GB SSD drive, and when looking at the boot priority noticed that this SSD drive was near the bottom. After pushing it to the top of the list thinking this would cause no problem, as after all it should be the boot drive anyway, I saved the BIOS and restarted.

My PC is now stuck in an infinite boot - reboot loop and will not even get to the stage where I can access the BIOS. I'm stressing out as I feel like there is quite frankly nothing I can do as it boots for say 2-3 seconds with black blank screen then turns off again and starts over.

I know this is vague and somewhat undescriptive but if somebody could help me out then it would be a life saver. If you would like some more info then just let me know and I will do my best, to give you what you need to help... thanks in advance

Hello have you checked out any of the tutorials here and can you boot into safe mode at all to do a system repair.

Modern PC's have UEFI firmware instead of BIOS that require Windows Boot Manager be listed as first to boot. Boot into BIOS setup to move it back to the top. If it's not listed then post back a picture of the Boot Priority order choices. Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums - Windows 7 Forums

Hi thanks for replies... but my problem remains that I can't even get to this point. The PC boots for 2-3 seconds with no screen at all , I just hear the fans boot up and pc lights turn on, then it shuts itself down and does it over and over again...

When you turn on the power, keep tapping the key to enter BIOS setup.
If that doesn't work, keep tapping the key to enter the one time boot selection screen.
If that doesn't work, try a BIOS reset by removing the CMOS battery for apx 10 seconds and then reinstall it.

I couldn't find the manual for an Asus x58-ud3r motherboard.

Post #1 states you have an Asus x58-ud3r mobo
Your SF specs show you have a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R motherboard
You need to know which you have and post the correct info.

Find your motherboard manual for specific instructions on what keys to use, and how to do a BIOS reset.

Just to update:

My motherboard had a Clr CMOS button on the I/O panel (Gigabyte X58A-UD3R), held this down for roughly a minute with the power off, and it booted fine. I'm not entirely sure what caused the problem in the first place but I've since re-installed my PC to windows 8.1 so not all bad.
