Yes, it should. As I already wrote, the Norton corruption should be wiped away along with all the other bloatware. A new registry is installed with only the app settings and your user account preserved.
Actually the entire OS is reinstalled with the apps, their settings, and your account information all that is retained and reinjected. So the only corruption that can be passed would be with those specifically.

It's fully automated so nothing compared to a full reinstall. I've done them on Windows 10 while I make lunch.
I've got everything re-installed, except for the Windows 8.1 Update and 2 more updates. But, every time I try to install an update it runs into an error.
I have reset the Windows Update settings, hopefully now it will install.
