    Manage, Right click My Computer?

if i want to go to disk management, i used to right click my computer > manage, but nothing happens, i have to search for manage to get into it.

is this a known bug or is it just me?

It could be you, can't really tell as we don't know what the specs of your machine are so have no idea what you are running.

Could you go into your User CP and fill out your system specs, that way the experts will know what kind of machine they are dealing with and be able to give you better help with your problem.
    Thank you.

    Goto Start, enter> disk man
select Create and format hardisk partitions

Another way, the way you used to I think:

Start->, select Computer, and rightclick, and choose Manage.

I think it's just you. I can perform the exact steps you describe, resulting at me looking at the Computer Management window.
    Maybe UAC is interfering?
Maybe your Start Menu is broken?
Maybe your whole installation of Windows 7 is corrupt?
    Maybe your head-gasket is gone?
Or maybe your swingarm is dented?

Certain apps install context handlers which cause problems for CompMgmtLauncher.exe, which is what you're invoking with that "Manage" shortcut.

It's possible to troubleshoot and work out exactly which app is responsible, but you can get to the end-destination (the relevant MMC snap-in) by just running COMPMGMT.MSC instead.

i may have petrol thats too old, it may block up the injectors, swinging arm fine, the frame does have the slightest of a scratch, but that doesn't make it any slower

i can still get to it with just searching for manage, so i'll probably just leave it as is.

thanks to all who replied :)
