All genuine Windows 7 media can do a Clean install (even Upgrades, with a bit of fiddling) - OEM keys actually insist on a Clean install and you have to use a workaround to get them in on an upgrade install.

Thanks Noel.
That should be good news for Wil White.
His install media is ready to go as long as he has the the COA key.

His License type says Retail, but he said he was getting keys from his brother from some failed business, so I don`t know what`s up with that.

the Ex Bro in law had above average experience and intellect running a word of mouth business repairing and building rigs. He helped me with mine for some work I did for him. He lost his business (and my sister) to a chemical dependency.

okay I received 2 x Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB by the brown men today. My next question is for the rest of my inquiries should I start a new thread? If so where would be most appropriate and any referred pages for setting up UEFI and what MoBo Software, drivers and utilities I may need or should avoid at all cost.

You only need to worry about 1 driver, the network drivers so you can get online.

Do you have the driver cd that came with the motherboard ?

If not you go to Gigabyte to download it now.

Why did you get 2 120 GB ssd`s ?

I would have just gotten the 250 GB.

Mine is Rockin

The 1st thing you do to a ssd for a windows install is set it up.

You create a Primary partition out of the entire drive, you format it, align it and set it active. Label it Windows 7 if you want.

I do all this with Partition Wizard.

Everything is here to do a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7.

Unplug all but one of the SSD's.

Boot the Win7 installation DVD as a UEFI device, create and format your install partition.
