Windows 7: every time i login it says preparing your desktop

every time i login it says preparing your desktop

whenever i login to my account (i am admin) it says preparing your desktop

this only start happening today morning

i have 2 other standard user account for my kids, they are fine

my windows 7 installation is 3-4 years old

i installed photoshop 7 for my kids yesterday

before that my system was fine

I'm unable to switch user, so I log off the user. When I try to go to another user, I get "preparing desktop" instead of "welcome" while I'm waiting. then I get a generic desktop. Any ideas?
