What is the reason?

Don't quite understand what you mean sOO - do you mean the screen goes off but the machine is still running??
I would start with these in safe mode

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2

Shut down the machine manually then perform a Clean Startup Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Try shutting down following the Clean Startup, if it works then one of your programs is hanging at shutdown. Windows doesn't need all of these programs at Startup anyway so just run them on demand after Windows has booted.

Did you perform a hard shutdown after applying those settings? Does Dell Dock need to start up with Windows?

So Dell dock is a separate device to the machine - if so I am wondering what you use it for. Because as I think Boozad is saying it isn't really needed until the OS gets fired up - in other words it does not play any part in booting the machine unless I am terribly wrong.

You can always untick it and try if things are not right just go back and tick it in again.

Shut down computer, remove all power sources, hold down power button
Why does shutting down the computer, removing the AC Adapter, removing the battery (if it is a laptop), and holding down the power button for 30 seconds fix problems in one's computer. I replaced the DC jack on an Acer today with a new one. When the laptop has the battery in the power LED shows a power source(unfortunately the battery is dead). When I remove the battery and plug in the charger to the new DC jack, no LED. Hitting the power button results in a flash from the power...

How can I change power plan and run scripts based on power state?
I overclock my CPU by changing its FSB and I have scheduled (Task Scheduler) this script to run every time I logon to Windows. But I would like to schedule it to downclock when I pull the power cord and then overclock as I plug it back in. Is this possible? It would also be nice if Windows changed...
