Theme missing from file and folder context menu (win7)

    Hi,

I recently uninstalled iZArc 3.81 and after doing so I no longer get the nice looking "soft" theme on file and folder context menu. It now looks like a Win2000 styled menu.

If I go into a folder and click somewhere in the empty space, then the context menu looks fine, but do it on a folder or file and it just looks ugly!

Has anyone else had a similar problem? I have posed on the iZArc forums, but I am not sure if it's a software or Windows 7 issue.

    Can anybody help?

    Kind Regards

sid, Welcome to the Windows 7 Forums!

I am not sure if this is what you mean, but you can try this:

Open explorer, choose Organize (upper left), then choose Folder and search options, choose view tab.
Theme missing from file and folder context menu (win7)-folder-options.png

    Select Restore Defaults.

I hope this works for you!

    Hi zx81,

    Thanks for you reply.

I tried what you suggested, but it did not change anything. The options available on the context menu all appear to be correct its just the look. Instead of the "soft-blue" look I get a solid grey background and the items are hightlighted with a solid blue background, i.e. similar to Win2000.

    Kind Regards

    Look in your registry. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\IZArcCM
    Copy the (Default) value.
Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers\ and create a Key named IZArcCM. Paste the previous value into (Default)
