    RE: W7 to W10

Couple questions about the rumor Microsoft will give away a copy of Win 10 to owners of Win 7 , first, if it's true and I missed something in here, is it worth updating from W7 to W10, and if it is, how does one go about updating W7 to W10? Thanks

If you update within the first year from Windows 7 or 8.1 then the upgrade will be be free, it's looking like the upgrade will be delivered via Windows update but we wont know until release.

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
The windows updates have already started to install unless you missed them installing ?
    Attachment 357621

    Worth it or not :/
The jury is still out as far as I can tell but there should be plenty of time to decide but the announcements will come to you if the above and possibly even more update to follow are installed,

The only issue that may percent it's self is if your mother board is compatible of sending a wake command to your hdd
I found out during testing mine must not be hdd put to sleep and hasn't woke up yet
