!!!!!!!Can't get my computer up and running!!!!!!!

I am having a problem with booting my computer up. Everytime it boots up it says that there was a disk boot failure. It is a Windows 7 home premium, hp pavilion, 6 gb ram.

I would check the disk. E.g. with SeaTools | Seagate

I tried, 5 minutes in it freezes, right after the action center icon appers, a few days ago it started doing after because it was 80 degrees and I was playing a game and it crashed.

If this is the Dell then run Dell Hardware Diagnostics from F12 Menu.

If it won't boot and run then enter BIOS setup to see if the hard drive is even detected anywhere. If so google the serial to find out the make and model to run HD Diagnostics from the maker to confirm its condition.

If necessary replace the HD. The best upgrade one can have now is an SSD which is lightning fast, even faster than a new expensive PC without one.

It will tell you on the screen which key to push to get into the bios, F1, F2, F10, Esc, Del etc.

Use Seatools to test the drive, and if it`s bad and the drive is under warranty, Seagate will replace it free of charge :)

    Wolfgang gave you the link.

HP sometimes also has HD Diagnostics via pressing the ESC key at boot.

Then work through Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start
