Windows 7: Documents, Pictures and Music not showing (task kill)?

Hi all,

I deleted the delay.dll but still can't access my personal folder, my document, my pic, music, games and computer from the windows menu.

However, I did discover that I can access the above named programmes from the pathway at the top of the my control panel or the device and printers page eg. C: Personal folder--> Libraries etc

So it seems to be a file pathway issue.

How can I make my widows menu pathways work again to open my docs, my music etc

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,

I removed the dplay.dll from the SysWow64 file and switched off computer. Since then I have use of the windows menu again. The issue seems to be resolved. Fingers crossed.

Everyone, thank you for your help. I was really worried I would lose my family photos and music collection there. This is a very helpful and friendly community.

Will Music streaming (spotify) ever kill downloading or owning it
Hi there While I agree services like Spotify are great and cheap enough now to obviate a lot of the need for Music Piracy I can't buy into the "Not owning" Music any more. I sometimes wonder if people who make the sort of allegations that people won't "own" the music any more ever go...

I can't say when this started to happen, but for some reason all my stuff in My Documents folder (word documents, notepads, game stuff, etc) is also in My Music folder. I have never copied the contents in My Documents to My Music, so I don't know how they got there. And it can't even be solved by...
