favorites folder and also Links folder change back to "read-only"

    Hi,
I've tried all the possible options written here, including keys and Link folder and nothing helps.
I realized that also the favorites folder and also the Links folder change back to "read-only" right after I try to change them. any idea?
    Thanks,
    Amitai

    Until someone more knowledgeable responds:
    - scan your computer with superantispyware, malwArebytes, eset online
    - create a new user account and see if it works logging with it
    - check if ok in safe mode with networking

Hello Amitai, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

Are you sure that they are "read-only"?

If the box is blue, then it's not read-only.

    Hi again,
    I've done as GokAy suggested
    - a online scanning with no Unusual results.
    - For a new user account the favorites work OK.
any idea what to try next?

The folders are not read-only. If you bothered to read what it says in the dialog.

"Read-only (Only applies to files in folder)" the checkbox will always be filled out in folder properties. No matter what.

Yes, I understood that already, thanks
No matter about the read-only issue - the favorites still don't appear.

Please post a screenshot showing this to see if it may help reveal a culprit.
