    It is clearly troubled. Try again, with quick format but don't use it before checking for errors even if seems alright. However, I don't know which program to use to check drive health.

    You could use PW9 surface test until someone else recommends another utility.

    hello to everybody... so i removed the enclosure and then connect the HDD to my desktop... now my desktop is unable to read it... OMG!... i think my external HDD is dead already...
    it is ADATA HV620 1TB... is has been purchased for a long time....
    anyway can I still revive it?...

    Unable to read it ?

    Does it show up in Disk Management ?

    Did Windows try to install drivers ?

    yes sir it did show up in Disk management... though it is unknown...

    Well, at least it`s not dead.

    Post a shot of Disk Management with it connected.

    And You have been using this drive for a long time on this same pc right ?

    No problems til now right, you made no recent changes to it, correct ?

    You didn`t run any scans on it or anything like that, correct ?

    Well, it`s not initialized, and it has to be. (either MBR or GPT) what size is it ?

    If you have files on it try to recover them with PW, see what happens.

    I tried to initialize it but i got this error>>>

    the size is 1TB... the files are less important, so it's ok if i loose the files with in the drive.. thanks
