    Getting Random Run DLL Errors

I am running Windows 7 Professional & am getting Run DLL Errors randomly. I have not been able to find a way to correct this without messing with the registry & isn't complicated. I downloaded software to fix it that was supposedly free but then it wouldn't fix it without paying for it so I removed it. I hope someone can help me.

    this is the error:

    There was a problem starting

    C:PROGRA~1/COMMON~1/System/SysMenu.ddll

The specified modual could not be found

Try the Answer from \System\SysMenu.dll The specified module could not be found - Microsoft Community

This one seems from Windows 8 though so maybe best to wait for someone more knowledgeable about the above procedure.

This is the same fix I tried & it didn't work without buying the software.

Are you talking about Autoruns? It's sysinternals program, and free. Or some other program?

Yes it was Auto Runs. When I ran it it found a lot of errors but to fix them I had to purchase it so I uninstalled it because I thought it was supposed to be free.

Autoruns is free. It is from Microsoft(?).

The Sysinternals web site was created in 1996 by Mark Russinovich to host his advanced system utilities and technical information. Whether you’re an IT Pro or a developer, you’ll find Sysinternals utilities to help you manage, troubleshoot and diagnose your Windows systems and applications.
I have run it myself just now, found a few yellow entries (drivers from my old soundcard) and deleted them.

I am not sure what you are doing. You are only supposed to follow this:

    Here is the solution:

    1st: Download Auto Runs.

    http://download.sysinternals.com/files/Autoruns.zip

    Link basis: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

2nd: Find the yellow highlighted Image Paths that ends with sysmenu.dll. Usually you can locate those image paths from Scheduled Task.

    3rd: Right click then delete.

4th: Try to find all yellow highlighted Image Paths that ends with sysmenu.dll from "Everything tabs, delete them.
NOTE: Carefully choose image paths that ends sysmenu.dll only, if you deleted paths that are not high lightened then it might cause some trouble booting your PC.

    5th: Reboot Computer

6th: Wait at least 5 minutes to confirm that the issue has been resolved. (sysmenu.dll usually appears within a minute from rebooting the computer. )

    Hope it helps :)
