Moved temp folders, Now having Issues**

    Hi

I moved my Temp folders around and created a junction to a different hard-drive to free up space on my SSD. After further reading I realized this was a bad move and tried to re-sync the old junction and get back everything to normal again but It didn't seem to have worked.

Right now I'm having trouble installing new programs , getting errors related to .msi files etc

I don't have backups available to restore, How can I recover original windows settings without a full re-format?

    Any help is appreciated.

P.S I have set my C/Temp to it's correct destination inside windows settings but it doesn't seem to be working as it was.

Have a read through this MS website about changing the drive where the TEMP folders are. If you reverse the instructions you should be able get your TEMP & TMP folders back where they were originally.

Take note about rebooting your computer after the changes.

I've changed back User Variables & System Variables back to default values

    ( C:\Users\manolze\AppData\Local\Temp , C:\Users\manolze\AppData\Local\TMP )

I'm still having troubles though, I just tried now installing a new program and it came back saying Error 1632 - The temp folder is on a drive that is full or is inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or verify that you have write permission on the Temp folder.

My security permissions on the folders show I have full control...

Not sure why its not working for this particular installer, Do I need to repair install Windows?

My security settings on my default Temp and TMP folders are on System.

Have you tried a System Restore to a date before the changes were made?

Open Control Panel, select System, then select System Protection, then when that opens, select the Advanced tab, then Environment Variables & follow the screen shot below.

Shut down & restart your computer after the changes.

If that doesn't help then see if SFC SCANNOW Command
can restore the System files to defaults.

Otherwise you might need to do a Repair Install.
