gregrocker,
Are you saying if you dual or triple boot with windows 10 it could effect the the windows 7 key even it is installed on another partition? Please, let me know if that going to happen even if you have to email or PM me. I have an Windows oem slp key, I wonder how that will work with that scenario.

I would like to keep my current set up but instead have the insider rtm on partition 2.

My current setup
Windows 7 Primary Partition 1
Windows 10 Primary Partition 2
Xubuntu 15.04 extended/logical Partition 5
Linux swap extended/logical Partition 6

This setup was a little difficult but I was able to do it on one hard drive.
This info came off a wiki about dual booting,

If you need to install Windows 10 on a separate hard disk or partition, you will need to purchase a full license.

Retail pricing information:
Edition Pricing
Windows 10 Home US $119
Windows 10 Pro US $199
Windows 10 Pro Pack US $99

It has been reported repeatedly that you can do a clean installation of Win 10 with the upgrade deally. I don't think you'll have to purchase a full license to install it on another partition. If that does indeed turn out to be the case, then no Win 10 for me, because I'm keeping my Win 7 installation for the life of this machine. Win 10 can wait until my next rig...

It's not like W7 will just stop working come 2020. (I might though.) There's still people on XP and Vista. I bet there's Windows 98 still running around.

Forgot to mention:
I know a few machine shops that are still using XP because of equipment requirements. They don't go out and plunk-down a few million on new CNC gear just because of a new release of an OS.

Carwiz,

Yep there is a windows 98se and windows xp dual boot still ruining not that great do to an electrical surge. The surge got the network card, so no high speed internet on that system. The dial-up modem still works though.
