My PC doesn't start on the SSD HD as it should but in the BIOS

Hello,

My new PC should normally start quickly and without any hesitation on the SSD HD... But instead of seing Windows 7 starting, I find myself into the BIOS of my ASUS H97M-PLUS motherboard.

I put back many times the SSD first in the start order and saved the changes in the BIOS, that's why I'm willing to fix this problem.

This morning again, I had to make a « Start Repair ». I hope you'll be able to help me very soon.

Thank you and best regards.

JLB :-)

Hello and welcome capdec a most unusual problem and I am guessing that the motherboard may be going south - it is hard to tell because the files you sent are in French? and that makes it very hard to sort anything out.

Just so I have it right though you push the power on button and the machine goes straight to the BIOS? It does suggest to me that the BIOS button may be stuck down somehow (usually F2 on an Asus board) - try another keyboard and see what happens. Plus I suggest you only have the boot hard drive connected as it looks like you have two hard drives installed.

By the by can you boot into safe mode? If so then run these

Yes, it`s very strange and actually almost impossible for the PC to go straight into the bios.

Is the ssd connected to the #1 sata port on the motherboard ?

Hum that is a thought and maybe the data drive is hooked up to somewhere where the boot drive is best. I still think the only drive should be the OS boot drive left in while the OP tries again and that BIOS button whichever one it is stuck on

OS drive being hooked up to some other SATA port shouldn't trigger this behavior but best to have it in first SATA port, so change it if it is not.

Did you try a CMOS reset or load optimized/fail-safe defaults in BIOS?

Yes Gokhan I reckon it worth a try but I still think something is short cutting the power up process ie that BIOS button unless the board has been damaged by some other cause - so why not try a different keyboard perhaps??

John, of course he should try it. Hopefully it is a keyboard issue.
