    BOOTMNGR missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart


    I have been getting error BOOTMNGR missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart after I installed windows 8.1 on a windows 7 ultimate sp1 laptop it is a compaq presario cq57 I want to fix this error I have not yet tried a recovery disk thanks for any help this is a very urgent problem

    I had this problem today and it turned out to be I had not set the boot device correctly - check in the BIOS as to what the boot device is.
