I am getting this error message

It's always easiest and sometimes necessary to install using Win7 with SP1. It discusses how to find safe reinstall media in Step 1 of Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which also compiles everything that's worked best in tens of thousands of installs we've directly helped with here. You'll get and keep a perfect install if you stick with those steps.

For your retail disk be sure to use Internet Explorer as the Microsoft Software Recovery is reported only to work with it (if at all).

If you use pre-SP1 disk then be patient installing Windows Updates, watch for them getting backed up on Start menu Shutdown button as signified by a ! mark on the button, to clear them before trying to install more. It may take several days for them all to download since most of SP1 will come in the Updates and then finally a small SP1 download that is more of a wrapper.

gregrocker and GokAy I have been asking questions and you two have been answering my questions I was just missing the answers right in front of my face. I don't want you to think I was ignoring the help you were trying to give me. I know how frustrating it can be when someone is trying to help and the person getting the help ignores it. Trust me I was not ignoring your help I was just missing it.

The second way is the way I have always done it I'm a bit confused??

Clean Install Windows 7 Shows the actual physical steps for the install itself.

In addition read over Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 Which Includes everything that needs to be be remembered for backup, plus install tips, tools and methods which work best to get and keep a perfect install.

I read somewhere on this forum in the tutorials that after Win 7 is installed run Malwarebytes and another spyware program to make sure I have no infections.

Are they suggesting to use them since they are free or should I use them and once no infectins are found I can install my Purchased antivirus, I just paid for 3 years 3 computers of Bitdenfender Internet Security 2015 and Plan to use that after win 7 is installed.
