    Windows Hanging Issue


    Hi, am in desperate need of help! My HP PC running windows 7 refused to start up yesterday, just hung at the Windows logo before logon was reached. Somehow I managed to get it fired up after running Startup Repair and something else which I forget......today it is refusing point blank to start up again, have run it in safe mode and tried to restore it back to Thurs before it started playing up but it still keeps hanging. Currently running Startup Repair again but don't hold out much hope...

    I am not in anyway shape or form equipped to deal with complicated BSOD/other terminology so if anyone can explain, in incredibly simple terms, to a complete eejit how to get things running again I would be eternally grateful as I have so much work to do and it is all on that PC not my laptop

    Do you have AVG as anti-virus by any chance?

    Windows 7 stuck on "starting windows" screen if so, if not please disregard
