    Laptop Mousepad Constantly Hot

The mousepad on my laptop (which I never use) is almost constantly hot, and on top of that, the fan inside my laptop is constantly running. Is my PC slow? Do I need to get it fixed? What's wrong with it?

    Probably dirty inside.
Can you apply a vacuum to the vent openings - maybe spray a little air ("canned air") in the vent while holding vacuum hose next to openings? Do this with the laptop turned off.

You can run a program like HWmonitor HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID which will show the temperatures of the CPU and fan speeds, etc. That might provide some useful diagnostic info.

If you can provide more detail on the make/model of your laptop, I may be able to provide additional info.
