    Relocate executable programs

I have a partition on my SSD that is preventing me from expanding my 'C' (windows) partition. It contains a few executable programs for which I cannot locate the original installation process.
How can I move these programs to one of the Windows 'Programs' folders so they are usable without reinstalling? Then I can remove the partition and expand the Windows partition.
Thank you for any help offered.

There is no sure way to warrant that everything will work without a proper reinstall, each program is unique in that it might put its dependencies pretty much anywhere, and unless you know how to replicate those it's not possible to ensure that it will work in the same way.

That said, in practice, the vast majority of programs do actually work without trouble simply copying its files over to any other location, at least that's the tendency in the last years. Of course nothing can assure that it will work, but at least merit a try.

The only way to be 100% sure is to uninstall and reinstall to the new location though. It's for that reason that's it's of utmost importance to always backup the installers too, not just user data.

There is a shareware program called App Mover made by Funduc Software Inc (time trial I think it is) I have used this before on one system to move quite a few programs and all of them worked flawlessly afterwards, As far as I recall I think the original install packages were corrupt hence the reason for using this.

That looks interesting. I found their web site: Application Mover - Funduc Software

The base price of Application Mover is $15/single user, plus $10 S&H if you want a disk sent by USPS Priority mail (Domestic US only). EMail delivery is free.

Yes that is it... It was a Win7 system I used it on I do not recall exactly what programs I moved but they were ones that carry a lot of reg entries and file association's I do recall that much and it worked... well it worked for the 2 days I had the system for repair and I never got a complaint from the client to say otherwise after it's return.

Alejandro85, Ztruker, Andyrids, thank you for the replies.
I don't think simply moving the folders and files would work. I think Windows 7 would probably get upset.
The folders are AMD and ATI Technoligies. Digging further I find these are drivers and other stuff for my HD5670 graphics card. I have the install CD, but I need to get rid of these before I reinstall to the Windows drive.
