Windows biometrics

Hi before windows 7 you could buy a biometric reader and use it to access websites requiring a log in. This has been removed in windows 7. Is it never going to be added back in?

There are 3rd party software to log you into websites automatically (some sites just don't work). Maybe you can find one that supports biometrics as main authenticator.

Nothing was removed in Windows 7. What was included in Windows 7 was "Biometric Framework API" for hardware to make use of. It wasn't something standalone, you need hardware and software to take advantage of it.
