Cmon is anyone else seeing this? I agree that the new way is flashy and cool looking, but its slowing me down. And thats time I could be using to get stuff done.

But perhaps people can overcome this? everyone who likes the new task bar, lets hear examples of how you can increase efficiency with it. Maybe Im missing out?
I find that I navigate in Windows much faster than my colleagues, mostly without using the mouse. You don't need the mouse to navigate the new taskbar -- Win+T as needed to find the group you want, then Up Arrow, then Right Arrow if needed to find the instance you want, then Enter.

I do have an advantage over many computer users, though: I started playing piano around the same age I started learning to write. When colleague who was married to a pianist saw me typing, he asked whether I was a piano player. Practicing the piano turns out to be great cross-training for keyboarding at the computer!

I have noticed though that I'm using the mouse more often with the new taskbar than I ever did with the old. I just naturally gravitate to whatever's easiest at the moment.

Man, XP just sucks away your productivity.
I am house sitting/dog sitting for a friend for 2 nights and decided not to bring my PC over since it is such a pain to disconnect and reconnect and it is so heavy. Case was 55lbs last time I weighed it, plus all the cables and 3 external drives. So I just grabbed my headset and one external...
