    System recovery and windows updates

I apologise if this has been asked before.

I have just had to put the system Windows 7/64 HP back to factory settings as the hdd failed.

I now see that there are over 200 updates to be downloaded and installed. Is there not a solution to this ie a "unofficial service pack". Alternatively please tell me if there is a way to slipstream Windows 7/64 - last time I looked there wasn't a solution.

I just ask as I would have thought large corporate users of Win 7 wouldn't be too happy with the unnecessary time to download/install etc.

Thanks so much for any constructive advice.

For SP1 integration Slipstream Windows 7 SP1 into a Installation DVD or ISO File

If you have a retail Windows 7 key though, you can just download the installer from MS Software Recovery - Microsoft Software Recovery

The rest of the updates you will have to download.

Companies can use Windows Services Update Server (WSUS) to deploy Windows Updates they wish.
