Those keyboards are normally fairly cheap to replace via Amazon or similar.

Let us know how that works. We can escalate to hardware experts if necessary.

You don't need one. See acer aspire 5750g BIOS update - Acer Community

What exactly is it that you are looking for?

Rescuiing files and everything else that can be done to start unbootable Win7 is in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.

You are in good hands with Paul.

havent been able to get it to work. I took the ram out of my laptop & it doesn't click off after a few seconds. .. it just stays on with a black/blank screen

Take as much hardware off the machine as you can. hard drive, cd drive, external mouse or keyboard, the onboard keyboard if it's seen any water. Use only one stick of ram, then switch to the other stick. Try different ram slots as well. Try it with battery only and with AC only. Open up case and disconnect any daughter boards if possible.

...along with Paul's great advice, remove the battery, and run laptop only from AC power cord during your troubleshooting.
