Lenovo G580/i5/4GB blank screen on bootup

    Hi All,
I am facing problem please help me out. Actually I forgot my Administrator password and I was using my system using Guest Account. But unfortunately today when I turn on my laptop to try recover the password, display turned into Blank and I hardly can see folders, Icon etc. I tried some with my own but does work thats why I need some expert advise. I have tried the following but didn't work

    1. Reboot the system.
    2. Opened in safe mode.
    3. remove the battery and adapter after some time reboot. etc.

My laptop's configuration is given below :
    Lenovo G580,Ci5 3RD/4GB/500GB/Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

Please let me know If you required any specific information.

    Thanks in Advance
    Shubh

For password see option 4 or 5 - User Account - Reset Password in Windows 7

Can you be more specific about how it turned blank? A photograph will help tremendously. Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

Thanks for quick response.. Actually we need to fix the display issue first then we can proceed to recover the password, otherwise it will be very hard to operate the system with this display and for your information currently display turned to blank means the brightness of display become very very less, when changing angle in light I am able to see the screen but its very dim. I hope you are getting me. Although I can operate my laptop by seeing display very carefully but its very hectic job.

Do Fn keys for brightness work? Not sure if they would work outside of OS, but worth a try. Also try loading defaults in BIOS (Setup menu).

I have tried to increase the brightness using function key but no effect although all other function keys are working find.
And I have also tried to fix the problem by opening system in Safe mode on the suggestion of my friend. Is there any hardware issue ??

Maybe a hardware issue, yeah, try loading defaults in BIOS though.

Then try to attach to another display (monitor or TV). Sometimes it is not possible to get a display with external displays until Windows loads but worth a try.
