I have a question about the media creation tool for Windows 10?

Hi everyone Im new to this site. I been trying to download windows 10 via windows update but it's not appearing in my windows update. I tried windows update fixit multiple times and still nothing. My real question is if I decide to upgrade my windows 7 to 10 how would I go about that. I read on google that microsoft released a creation tool to help with the process. But I upgraded my windows 7 home to windows 7 ultimate via a "Anytime Upgrade Key" that I purchased. I read on google that if you use the media creation tool to upgrade you need to enter a product key. I have the product key for my windows 7 home version. Its the little sticker underneath my laptop. BUT I used a anytime upgrade on my laptop to upgrade from Win7 Home, to Win7 Ultimate. How would I proceed with upgrading to 10. I wanna upgrade to 10 not right now but probably by the fall when the new UI drops for XBOX ONE. O yea for people wondering I do have the Win10 Icon saying its reserved but besides that I don't know. Would I still use the little sticker underneath my laptop to proceed with the upgrade (I prefer upgrade vs clean install, I fear that I wouldn't be able to get all my drivers again).
Sticker underneath is for HOME. I upgraded to ultimate via anytime upgrade key. Does that make the sticker underneath invalid. Thanks

    Update

I found what was causing a problem. Microsoft sercurity essetials there most recent update kept failing( IDK why) so I uninstalled it. Went to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download deleted the contents. I did the CMD prompt. Now I'm supposedly downloading the install files. I just want to have them so I can upgrade when I'm ready. So far its at 30% downloaded. Will keep posted. I hate technology when it acts up its so annoying. Hopefully it works

If i have to reformate again at a later time once 10 is on. Does it go back to 7. Because I select go back to out of box state. Thanks just need advice

    Hi,
I wouldn't count on a factory restore partition
I would however use this method,
    Imaging with free Macrium

    I didn't say you couldn't keep it
I said don't completely rely on it to get back to 7
Any upgrade might corrupt it or the utility that you'd use to get back to it.

Your system image would need to be on a totally separate hdd with a recovery disk to point to that hdd where the system image is located.

Would a system back up be adiquit ? Cause once I download all the updates, and clean my system via avg, spybot, Bitdefender, disk check and system Defrag I plan on making a system backup. Via the system backup tool that comes with windows 7. I mean I've never restored my pc via system backup but how hard can it be. I will put everything on my external hard drive as a spare.
