Is there any command settings that force create MEMORY.DMP during boot on my situation?

It look like something is blocking the Win 7 start. I am not sure, what it is.

I did create x:\windows\Minidump directory via command line. x:\windows\Minidump disappeared upon restart.

I did create D:\windows\Minidump directory via command line. D:\windows\Minidump did not contain any entries upon restart.

    Where to go from here?

You already have tried a lot.

Do you have access to another computer right now? If so, download Partition wizard Bootable CD (the last one in the link). Burn it in a blank CD or in a USB flash stick.

Boot into Partition Wizards GUI following this instructions. When you are on the last screen, take a camera snap of the screen and upload the snap here.

Thanks team/reply. Before getting your reply, I started the Bitdefender using rescue CD. It is still in progress.

After scanning 72K items. It says there are 82 infected items.

When I ran MSE from bootable CD earlier (I posted in this thread), it did not find any offensive items.

    Does it make sense/normal?

Do you want to run this partition stuff by aborting Bitdefender or after completion of it?

Do you advise to use resolve issues of Bitdefender in this situation?

    Thanks for helping.

    Normal.

Once I got a brand new pen drive. Unpacked it, inserted it in the computer and scanned with BitDefender. It got 49 threats there.

For a bootable virus scan, I trust on WDO.

If it reports in the same line, then infections are really there.

As there is a cause to suspect a virus infection, I would suggest you to run WDO, now or later that depends on you. If you want, you may complete the BitDefender scan, but do the WDO.

You can do the partition stuff right now, or after completing the scans, whatever you like. Do it when you can. Either me or anybody else who can check it will be able to guide you for the further steps depending on the partition table.

Thanks for your input. As per your request, I downloaded the bootable Partionwizard took pictures after booting the laptop. I am attaching as zip files (PartitionwizardR.zip)

I am attaching the result of Bitdefender screenshots & logs as well (BitdefenderR.zip).

I hope this helps. Thanks for helping.

Five partitions are there in the HDD.

A regular MBR disc (as formatted using the windows 7 installation media in the normal course) can hold only four partitions. One more added partition converts the disc to dynamic, and a dynamic disc cannot boot. It is the situation here. So that is the reason behind not booting.

Now, I am not the real expert in this particular field. I have limited knowledge about this situation. As far as I can say, you have two things to try.

First, Try to convert the MBR disc to GPT disc. How to Convert MBR Disk to GPT Disk | MiniTool Partition Wizard Tutorial. In normal course this conversion is destructive, it deletes the entire data on the disc including the partition table; but the Partition Wizard does it in a non-destructive manner, without losing anything. I can say it because I have done it myself, for my own HDD.

A GPT disc can hold more than four partitions there. So there is a chance that the computer will boot back after this conversion. If not, Run startup repair for three separate time. Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

Second, If the first attempt does not work, the second option is to format the entire HDD and start afresh. But that will erase on the data on the HDD. So I would suggest you to backup your user data externally before doing the formatting. Use a bootable Linux distro to do it. A nice guide is here: Emergency Kit - save your files from a dead OS . It can be done in windows recovery environment too, Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console .

If you want to have more than 4 partitions there in the HDD, format the HDD as GPT using Partition Wizard.

    Thanks for your insights.

    I am puzzled !

This computer was working perfectly, before this issue show up (1 week ago).

I learned that Lenovo keeps a hidden recovery disk. Is this one shows up as 5th Partition?

How does my HDD become dynamic from non dynamic suddently?

What could be the trigger event for this?

Who is the expert on this field of this forum?

    Thanks for helping.

    By adding one more partition.

It is you only who can answer to this question .... because only the user can add a partition.

jumanji and Kaktussoft are two top experts in this field among some others. DonnaB is already in your thread, and I think she is also having some insight in this field.
