Well you can find instructions here:

    Troubleshooting Explorer.exe Crashing Issues (Tutorial)

A few things to note before going ahead.

Make sure that WER (windows error reporting) service is enabled and started.

Backup HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting registry key before going ahead with the RegistryFix download.

In addition to ShellExView you might want to look at ShellMenuNew

Anyway once you've got an Explorer crash dump upload it and we will look at it to see if it points to a specific dll.

I know that Skinning apps can conflict with Winblows as well. I use Stardock apps Deskscapes 8, WB 8.1, logon studio and also another app called start button orb changer kind of sucks I like eye candy with the GUI.

You might be correct about skinning apps but I guess the only way to be sure is to look at the explorer crash dump. There are alternatives to explorer and it can be replaced if problems/ conflicts cannot be resolved although it's not always a good idea.
