When you download it, you should have a Seatools.ISO. Extract that and one of the files should be a Seatools.IMA. Rename the Seatools.IMA to Seatools.IMG. Use the Win32Disk Image file to burn it to a USB. When it asks for the Image file, point it to the renamed Seatools.IMG file.

OK, managed to do that. Now when I put the USB in my computer it comes up with freeDOS in white with a cursor and then turns itself off.
    What do you advise please?

Thank you for all your help. I think I will have to take it in to someone who can look at it for me - I am a complete novice - I tried but couldn't get anywhere this weekend - not your fault but my lack of experience. Thank you for your help and expertise. I appreciate your comments and advice.

When I press F12 I can get into a screen to change different options. Is that what you mean?

No, not exactly. I meant boot into the operating system. Have you tried Safe Mode? Safe Mode

I could when I had the usb inserted that had a windows recovery and then did a repair but it failed.

Put the USB Recovery back in and run startup repair. You will have to run it at least 3 times with attempted start ups in between each time. Run startup repair, then try to reboot. If you can't reboot, boot into the USB recovery and run startup repair again. Do that procedure 3 or 4 times and see if it works.
