    Windows 8 disc

I have program that runs poorly in W7 I was told W8 ran less CPU intensive. Is there a way to install it and buy the license after I know it works?

What you were told is a new one on me. Never heard of such a thing.

What program are you running causing your problems?

I wonder what Layback Bear has asked.

However; you could instead go straight to Windows 10 and you can upgrade for free at the moment (it is still a new OS and better to wait a while for the upgrade, but better than Windows 8 I believe). Just make sure you image backup your current Windows 7 installation with Macrium free (or any other paid app you may have) - Imaging with free Macrium. If it doesn't cut it for you, you could just reload from your image back to Windows 7 in a matter of minutes (depends on how big your C drive is).

I was out tonight I tried to post but didn't have a good signal.

The program is Izotope RX4. To explain in more detail, the computer has been running Vista HP 32. I use it for audio recording and processing only. All other programs I use seem to work fine Sound Forge, Vegas, Izotope RX2 and Ozone 5.0 but ever since I got RX4 it has been the buggiest program I ever use.Seems like every other process gets a "not responding" error’ and last anywhere from a few second to 15 or 20 min. I have been in contact with their support members and I was told Vista was not supported. So I installed a fresh copy of W764 and it seemed no better, who knows maybe a little. So it was suggested that it was either my processor ormemory that was slowing down RX4.

I have had 4g of ram from the time I built the machine like 7 years ago. I did my research and found 2 sticks of the exact memory on eBay and ordered it.However until today when I tried to install it I had forgotten about the 4g maxfor 32bit systems.

On another forum where many people use this software a member said W8 ran a little better than W7 for him. So rather than buying another copy of W7 I figure I’d get 8 and the free upgrade sounds great. I want the full version, I’m tired of installing software.

I have been using Macrium for years now most reliable backup software I have ever use.

To me it sound like RX4 is your problem.
Most things that work on Vista will work on Windows 7 including many drivers.
If Windows 7 and 8 don't play well with RX4 I seriously doubt Windows 10 will.

I don't know what you did in your last post but it's very hard for me to read.
Black letters with my dark background doesn't work well.
Your first post reads just fine with white letters.

I know of no test runs on Windows 7. As far as I know you will have to buy Windows 7 to test it legally.

I take it this computer you are having problems with is not the one in your system.
    Is that correct?

For audio programs, equipment and problems we have some good people here.

No they said Vista didn't, or "not supported". I will try W7 again now with a total of 8g of memory and if its even a little better I'll get W8 and make it work.

Try compatability mode for XP as you said even Vista was not supported.

Is there a reason W8.1 full version is cheaper than 8.0?

The only difference in price is regular win-8 verses win-8 Pro or 8.1 versions
Reg win-8 or 8.1 is 99.us pretty much the home premium in win-7
    Win-8-8.1 Pro is usually 140.us
    Buy from legitimate places only.

I know this is from Walmart. I know about online vendors.

I googled it and there seems to be some issues and many W8 users are not updating.

So I'm a little unsure if I should stick with a new copy of w7. Like I said I want a full version so I can upgrade my current copy of Vista.
