    You said you had created a 25GB partition that was too small, then used partition Wizard to extend that to 5GB. I assume that was a typo and you really meant you extended it to 50GB. 50GB should work but unless your disk is really tiny, I would probably go with a minimum of 60GB. How much free space do you have currently on your Windows partition?

    Not sure why Windows update would be running so slow. Do you have a decent internet connection? Are you able to use a browser and access websites? Is the browser's performance good or is it slow to load websites?
