Why my PC turn on by itself during sleep?

I have clicked the start>sleep in my windows 7.

When the pc is sleeping, it wakes up by itself. I guess there are some scheduled task by windows 7.

    Why?

Is there a way to see why or what task caused my PC to turn on by itself?

How to see what task was done during the auto wake up?

    Thanks

Its probably Windows update kicking in at its scheduled time, 03.00 am, check your WU settings

Because I don't use sleep/hybernate - can WU wake the PC? How can it wake while sleeping itself?

    On the sleep options.
    Enable/dissable wake timers.

I am a bit confused. Do I need to do all the steps in your link? There are many steps there.

Is there a setting that I can "do not wake up once I put pc to sleep".

My problem happened only after I reinstalled windows 7 recently. For the past 5 years there is no such problem.

Apparently there is a problem now, and that tutorial covers everything.

Is there a way to see why or what task caused my PC to turn on by itself?
    Step 4-5 will help here.

If you still can't get it working as you intend to, then check out the rest of the tutorial.

    Maybe it is your mouse.

In device manager, right click the mouse under power properties, and tell it not to wake up the pc.

"In device manager, right click the mouse under power properties" Where is this? I cannot see power properties in device manager.
