Recommendations On Computer

I'm going to start looking for a new computer/tablet. My old rig is an i7 - 2820QM - 16 Gbs of ram, with 4 cores/8 threads. I love it, but it's heavy to lift. I've always wonder how the 2 in 1 are and thinking this way. So in this 2 in 1, I've I got some questions if anyone cares to share their option. Remember, an option is just that. No right or wrong answer. So let's begin. First what would I do with it. Basically, watch movies off of the web, do tons of spreadsheets, go on the web with about 10 or 12 tabs open at one time. I don't like computers that I have to wait for something to load, even those days are almost over with.

The questions I have is this. When you flip a 2 in 1 over into tablet mode, how is the keyboard protected? Can you run windows 7 pro in computer mode and when you flip it over what OS does it use? I would like to get one with RJ-45 and wifi. How difficult is it to wipe the 2 in 1 (to get the bloat ware) to a clean OS?

Thanks

Hi,
I doubt a touch screen is very friendly with win-7 and most of the tablets you speak of are 8-8.1 or now 10 installed,
Drivers for win-7 for something like that will be interesting to find so what ever you do make sure you ask the manufacture if win-7 drivers are available for it first before purchase

I'm not really too into tablets as you're referring to I prefer good old laptops but there are some interesting new products out there that flip over like you state and I'm sure past a certain point the keyboard is disabled but yes good question what does protect the keyboard I suppose you're supposed too

Unfortunately the prices I've seen I'd rather spend a bit more and get a sweet MSI laptop

Computer or Table Desk Recommendations?
I had a really old computer desk that i used back then but no longer have it as its very old and we threw it away. It was also incredibly heavy so we threw it away. I had never heard of an L shape desk until recently and saw a few of these on amazon/walmart and also saw some other desk when...

Recommendations For Clean Computer
I have a Dell laptop and want to buy a vacuum. The keyboard gets dust and shmootz plus I'd like to open it up and clean inside. I am debating between USB (my preference) or battery (need lots of batteries for power). I want a little portable unit, nothing to use on my carpeting, too. ...

recommendations for a stable computer setup
I'm looking for recommendations for a simple effective computer setup . This is a multi-topic question really as it involves software, hardware and OS so I wasn't sure where to post it. I'm getting really fed up with the wretched bloatware on my computer and laptops and all the spyware etc...

Recommendations for NAS
After concluding that I cannot afford an LTO-5 tape backup (who can?) and learning that BDXL Blu-Ray is just too darned tricky, I have settled on the obvious - a NAS. OK, now here's my problem. Every NAS seems to get both positive and negative reviews, the negative ones I believe to be coming...

HDD recommendations
I'm looking to jump up to a 500GB or even a 640GB hard drive, and I was just wondering if some of you might share experience/make recommendations. It's to go in my Toshiba (see my specs), so obviously it has to be a laptop-sized (2.5-in.) drive. Thoughts?
