Elusive Explorer

If I click on a folder, it opens in Windows Explorer. But I can no longer open Windows Explorer any other way. The shortcut I used to have on my taskbar, or entering "Explorer" in the Start menu and clicking that, just bring up "Program not found." How do I make WE directly accessible again?

Delete the existing shortcut from task bar. Click on start, go to Accessories and drag Windows Explorer to task bar to copy it there See attached screen shot

Nope. I'd already tried that. Still says "Application not found."

You can try a System Restore point and "last known good configuration" at the Advanced Boot Menu (F8 right after BIOS screen). If that doesn't work, press Winkey-r and type in 'explorer'. What does that do? Next I would do a SFC.

I recommend following this tutorial by Brink and see if it restores Windows 7 files.

Extremely elusive issue.
Warning, there's going to be a LOT of text. This is a really complex issue with many different little things to it, and I'm going to try to explain every little tidbit that I can. So, I got this computer not too long ago-- maybe the summer of 2010. It runs smoothly and quickly; the performance...

Elusive BSoD
Been having issues with BSoD but can't seem to pinpoint what the issue is. I'll go 2 or 3 days without problems, and sometimes I get 2 or 3 Kernel-Power 41 errors in the same day, and sometimes in the same hour. I got an HP laptop a few weeks ago and I did a clean install of Windows 7 to get...
